Humanitarian Immigration Relief in Philadelphia

At Winkler Immigration Law, we believe that everyone deserves safety and dignity. We help individuals who have experienced violence, trafficking, or serious crimes find legal protection through VAWA, U-Visas, and T-Visas—providing compassionate, confidential, and thorough legal support.

VAWA (Violence Against Women Act)

VAWA allows abused spouses, children, or parents of U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents to self-petition for immigration relief without the abuser’s knowledge or involvement.

Requirements:

  • Abuse or extreme cruelty by a U.S. citizen or permanent resident

  • Qualifying family relationship

  • Good moral character

  • Evidence of abuse and cohabitation

T-Visa: For Human Trafficking Survivors

T-Visas are for victims of human trafficking who:

  • Cooperate with investigations (unless traumatized)

  • Are physically present in the U.S. due to trafficking

  • Would suffer extreme hardship if removed

T-Visas are valid for 4 years and may lead to permanent residence.

U-Visa: For Crime Victims

The U-Visa helps immigrants who:

  • Have suffered substantial physical or mental abuse from certain crimes

  • Reported the crime and helped law enforcement

This visa can lead to a green card after 3 years and may allow qualifying family members to join you.
