Meet Josias G. DePeña

Josias is the Chief Operating Officer at Winkler Immigration Law.

Josias has spent the past 7 years in clinical research at large and small biotechnology companies, the last 3 years of which have been spent as a clinical trial manager in rare disease research in various disease states (neurology, cardiology, rare genetic epilepsies). This required an ability to quickly understand and adapt to changes during the projects, understanding the science behind the research that was being conducted and how it applied to the process of conducting the project.

Most of Josias’ experience includes project management, vendor management, people management, and technical experience with project databases. Josias’ strengths include quickly adapting to issues that arise while ensuring the overall needs of the team/project/business are being met.

Josias prioritizes open and transparent communication, team building, and leveraging people skills to meet a common goal.

In the past several years, Josias has traveled to several continents where he has been able to gain a deeper appreciation and connection with other cultures. As the child of immigrant parents, Josias holds a deep appreciation for the efforts made by immigrants; the diversity of people and experiences that help contribute to the color of America is what Josias believes makes us better as a human race. Josias is committed to bringing his professional and personal experience to improve the work being done at Winkler Immigration Law.
